Dear loyal FLAGscanner followers,
The surveys are very brief and typically only take a few seconds to complete. Not every alert will have a survey, and you’ll never see more than one per day if you complete it. Since 2008, we at FLAGscanner have striven to bring you timely and accurate breaking news reports. We are composed entirely of a volunteer staff. A staff that shares the same vision FLAGscanner has always had: To be FREE and in touch with you… the community of Flagstaff and its surrounding communities. Our operational costs continue to rise however, and the small amount of income we receive from advertisements has not been enough to keep us from reaching into our own pockets to keep FS running. In an effort to keep FLAGscanner a free service, we ask that you accept the minor inconvenience of these surveys once in a while. They will help us immensely.
FLAGscanner will always be a free service. We sincerely thank you for your understanding and more so for your continued support.
HOW THEY WORK:
Did you get 1 or 2 questions on your survey?
When you access a page on desktop or mobile and see a survey, you’ll be presented with 1-2 initial questions. If you answer these 1-2 questions and do not meet the requirements of a screening question, you’ll be granted Standard survey free Access to the site for 24 hours. Standard access allows the user to view the content for a minimum of 24 hours.
Did you get 3+ questions on your survey?
If you meet the requirements of a screening question, you may be asked to take a longer survey. Completing a longer survey will earn you Extended Access to our site for a minimum of 2 days. Extended access allows you to view the content for twice as long as standard access – a minimum of 48 hours.
Can I skip the survey?
There is a “SKIP” option at the bottom of the survey – however, some things to consider…
If you skip the survey, you will be given access to that specific page until you navigate away from that page or refresh it. If you visit another page on our site, you will be presented with a survey again. You can continue to skip, but will continue to be presented with the survey on each subsequent page until it is completed.
