The Flagstaff Police Department would like to remind residents that the winter snow removal ordinance is in effect. Winter storms have been predicted for the next several days. The ordinance began November 1st and will continue through April 1st. There is no parking on city streets or alleyways from midnight to 7 a.m. The purpose of this ordinance is to allow street crews to thoroughly plow streets, after a snow storm. The ordinance is there for the safety of the community and will be in effect even if it is not snowing outside.
The Flagstaff Police Department will be enforcing the parking restrictions and towing vehicles in violation of the ordinance. Even if it is not snowing residents could receive a citation, however; if it is snowing you will receive a citation and your vehicle is likely to be towed.
