Bomb threat at Flagstaff Walmart prompts evacuations Friday

December 24th, 2016 at 12:46 PM

On Friday afternoon at around 3:30 PM, Flagstaff Police revived a 911 call from management at the Walmart located on Woodlands Village. The Manager stated that an “ominous voice” came over their employee walkie-talkies (two-way radios) indicating that a bomb had been placed inside the store and would go off in 15 minutes. The transmission also said that “everyone in the store would die.” Management also began immediate evacuations of the entire store with assistance from the police. A thorough investigation and search was conducted and nothing was found. The situation was deemed a false threat. Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Updates will be provided if and when we get them.
