Breaking: Arrest made in yesterday’s Coconino High School threat

April 27th, 2017 at 12:42 PM

On 4-26-17, at approximately 1:30 PM a juvenile was arrested from Coconino High School for threats and intimidation and disrupting an educational facility. The student had made comments about the “Columbine school shooting” and made statements that they were planning on bringing a “gun” to school on April 26th.  The subject was found to be in possession of three rifle rounds that had the powder removed. The student called the columbine shooters heroes. Family members told investigators there are no firearms in the residence he lives in.

After the investigation, the juvenile was arrested and booked into Coconino County Juvenile Detention Center.

At this time it is not believed that this is the same individual who has been making the threats at Flagstaff High School and that investigation is continuing.
