BREAKING: City of Flagstaff Declares State of Emergency

City declares State of Emergency for winter storm FLAGSTAFF, Ariz – The city of Flagstaff has declared a State of Emergency due to the significant winter storm that started in the city on Feb. 20. The Declaration allows the city to seek resources and recovery assistance through Coconino County and their respective Emergency Declaration. All available city resources are deployed to respond to this storm, clear streets and provide for public safety. Additionally, all non-essential city services and facilities will be closed Feb. 22. Court services, Public Works’ streets operations the city’s Fire and Police Departments will remain open. Citizens are urged to cooperate with this emergency declaration and, to every degree possible, abide by the safety announcements, advisories and restrictions established by the region’s multi-agency Emergency Operations Center and to cooperate with the community’s public safety agencies and emergency services personnel.
