On 8/6/17 at approximately 5:30 a.m., Officers from the Flagstaff Police Department were dispatched to the area of 2100 N. Center Street for a report of shots fired. Officers located a victim near-by who advised that he was shot at by a white male on a red or white bike. The suspect was wearing a long sleeved black shirt and a black hat. The suspect was last seen heading west on Fourth Avenue towards West Street on the bicycle. Investigators learned that two brothers were walking in this area when they engaged in a disagreement with the suspect on the bicycle. The cyclist ultimately pulled out a handgun and fired in the direction of one of the victims, apparently striking the asphalt street. Either debris from the street or shrapnel from the bullet struck the victim. The injury was minor not requiring medical attention. A shell casing was located on scene. The suspect is still at large and his identity unknown at this time. Please contact the Flagstaff Police Department at (928) 774-1414 or Detective Ryan Turley at 928-679-4134 who is working to solve this case(P17-10959).
