We have received several calls to our hotline and emails requesting information surrounding a police incident that took place in Kachina Village this morning. We have not received any information from the Coconino County Sheriffs Office as of yet. We were, however, able to pull recordings from our scanner archives and obtain statements from residents nearby. Shortly before 2:00 AM this morning, Deputies and Highlands Fire were called to a house in the 3000 block of Kachina Trail for a possible suicidal subject. When Deputies arrived, they found a subject with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Investigators were called to the home and the scene was still active around 7:00 am. If we obtain any further information from the authorities, we will pass it on to you.
