Flagstaff Police arrest man chasing people with machete

FLAGSTAFF, AZ- Flagstaff Police arrested 25-year-old Frank Larranaga Monday night on numerous charges stemming from an incident that involved Larranaga chasing another person with a machete. At around 8 pm Police were called to the area of east Maple Ave and East st because Larranaga was allegedly yelling at people walking by saying, “it was his neighborhood.” At some point Larranaga used a metal object to hit a dog on someones yard, and the proceeded to threaten a homeowner with the metal object. The situation escalated even further when Larranaga chased a person into a home with a machete, an then hitting the person’s front door with the knife and damaging several vehicles in the vicinity. Larranaga was arrested without incident and booked in the Coconino County Jail.
