THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* YAVAPAI COUNTY… NORTHERN GILA COUNTY… SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL COCONINO COUNTY… SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL NAVAJO COUNTY AND MUCH OF APACHE COUNTY.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL CREATE CONDITIONS THAT POSE A HIGH RISK FOR HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING IN THE WATCH AREA.

* IMPACTS: SLOW MOVING HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CAUSE EXCESSIVE RUNOFF ALONG AREA WASHES AND STREAMS RESULTING IN PERIODIC FLASH FLOOD ACTIVITY THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT DEVELOPING CONDITIONS MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING WITHIN THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE… ESPECIALLY THOSE LOCATED ALONG AREA CREEKS… RIVERS OR OTHER FLASH FLOOD PRONE AREAS… SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
