FLOOD ADVISORY FROM 11:23AM MST TUE UNTIL 2:15PM MST TUE

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FLAGSTAFF HAS ISSUED A

* SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR… SOUTHEASTERN COCONINO COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ARIZONA…

* UNTIL 215 PM MST

* AT 1120 AM MST… DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN AN AREA APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF FLAGSTAFF, INCLUDING WALNUT CREEK. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE… WALNUT CANYON NATIONAL MONUMENT.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING STREAMS AND DRAINAGES… YOUNGS CANYON… WALNUT CREEK… SAN FRANCISCO WASH AND BABBIT SPRING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS… COUNTRY ROADS… FARMLAND… AND OTHER LOW LYING SPOTS.
