Adel Lopez a representative from the Fetch Foundation stopped by Summit Fire & Medical Department today to drop off a new Fido Bag. According to their website “The fetch Foundation is dedicated to saving lives in the animal and human communities through innovative strategies and unique programs that supports, IMG_0162[1]equips, and trains first responders. We accomplish this mission by providing the life saving tools in “The FIDO BAG®” that is used by first responders to provide life saving intervention to family pets that are caught in a fire or other emergency situations”.

This donation was a direct result of the recent structure fire in Doney Park where fire personnel rescued a female dog and her 5 puppies from the fire and along with Coconino Sheriffs Department and Guardian Medical were able to provide life saving procedures to the dogs, thereby saving their lives. The Founder of the Fetch Foundation saw posted pictures of this on social media and wanted to provide this Fido Bag as a donation to the Summit Fire & Medical Department for their efforts. This bag will provide the right type of equipment to successfully provide future animal life saving abilities. The Summit Fire & Medical Department is grateful for this donation and will keep this bag on their first out apparatus.
