#fsPOLICE : The Spring Citizen’s Police Academy is now open for enrollment

Flagstaff Police Department. (-1-13-2016).  The Citizen’s Police Academy is now accepting application for enrollment in the spring 2016 class.  The Citizen’s Police Academy is a multi-agency program sponsored by the Flagstaff Police Department, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Northern Arizona University Police Department and the U.S. Forest Service.


The program is designed to promote awareness of the police function, establish partnerships with our law abiding citizens, and to provide an opportunity for community members to see inside the daily activities and responsibilities of the community caretakers who are your police officers.


The police academy meets every Wednesday from 6pm until 9pm for 10 weeks beginning on February 24, 2016.  There will be two Saturday sessions included in the schedule.  The classes will be held at the Brent Cooper Auditorium located at 911 Sawmill Road.  Participation in this program is free of charge and open to all law abiding citizens who are least 18 years old.

M. Bentzen by February 12, 2016.
