At approximately 4am Sunday, Engine 3 from the Flagstaff Fire Department was dispatched along with a Summit Fire and Medical Department unit and a Summit Fire and Medical Department Battalion Chief for the report of a semi truck that rolled over near mile marker 218 on I-40 east bound. Engine 3 arrived on scene to find an overturned semi with two occupants trapped inside. Using a battery powered-extrication tool, firefighters on scene were able to safely lift the cab of the semi truck and remove the occupant’s trapped leg from underneath it. Both occupants were transported by Guardian Medical Transport in stable condition.
While inclement weather continues to impact Norther Arizona, it is of paramount importance to practice safe driving techniques. Stay safe.
