After careful evaluation the fire staff on the Coconino National Forest have decided conditions are not correct today for prescribed burns. There are several locations planned to return fire to the landscape this week.
Looking to the rest of the week, prescribed burns will probably continue tomorrow near Kachina Village between State Highway 89A and I-17 and in the Mogollon Rim Ranger District near Upper Beaver Creek and Buck Mountain. And each day the experts here will evaluate if the prescribed fires will be conducted.
