On Tuesday October 17th shortly after 7 P.M. Flagstaff 911 received a call from a BNSF train engineer stating he had just ran over a person on the train tracks. The train engineer said he believed the victim was still alive. The collision occurred under the Country Club overpass in Flagstaff city limits. When Police Officers and medics arrived, they found the victim under the train suffering from multiple amputations, but still breathing and moving.
The victim was transported to the trauma center at Flagstaff Medical Center in very critical condition. We have not been updated on his condition. The victim was not in a crossing area or public thoroughfare.
