Update: Officer involved shotting has 89A CLOSED

UPDATE: The incident involves a shooting between a Forest Service Official and a civilian. The civilian was hit, and the Officer is reported to be ok. The FBI has been called in to investigate.

  1. Man on meth or some other drug driving over 100MPH north on 89A. Looses control at Briarpatch. Goes off road uphill and launched into air taking out telephone cable on power poles. You can see utilities there today trying to fix it. A huge mess.
    The driver jumps out of his car and starts stripping all clothes off. Walking or jogging down 89A at Trout Farm completely naked. USFS Law Enforcement Officer pulls over and asks him what he is doing. He attacked her outside her car and she pulls taser and tases him to the ground. As that ended, he jumped up and gave her a fist in the face and knocked her to the ground. He was coming at her a second time and she yelled for him to back off. He did not stop. So she pulled her weapon and took him down with 2 shots to the chest. Dead. That is the story I heard from a fairly reliable source.
