SCAM ALERT:
The Flagstaff Police Department would like to warn the community about several ongoing scams that we have seen recently. Please use caution anytime someone asks you to pay a debt or fine with electronic or digital gift cards. No one from the City of Flagstaff, Internal Revenue Service, or any government agency will request payment in gift cards. Any post through craigs list.org that requires you to pay in gift cards should be viewed with caution. The funds on these cards cannot be refunded or stopped once the codes are provided and if you cannot meet face to face for payment it is likely a scam.
