Rain and snow showers today in Northern Arizona

April 20th, 2018 at 7:22 AM

(From the National weather Service in Flagstaff/Bellemont) A quick moving weather disturbance will bring scattered rain and snow showers to northern Arizona through this evening. Precipitation amounts are expected to be 0.10″ or less in most locations. Areas that do see snowfall (generally above 6,500 feet elevation this morning) should expect little or no accumulation.

  1. Back around 1970 or so there was a huge debate on whether schools should be out for Good Friday in Flagstaff-the district decided NOT to take Good Friday off. It was April-that Good Friday saw the biggest snow storm of the year and schools had to be closed for as snow day.
