FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 18, 2018)–The Flagstaff Police Department’s Emergency Services Response Team responded to the 4500 block of North Allison Drive on Monday, October 15, 2018 after officers attempted to serve a warrant and custody order.
On October 15, 2018 at approximately 8:00 AM, Officers with the Flagstaff Police Department attempted to serve a child custody order and search warrant at the 4500 Block of North Allison Drive. The subject barricaded himself with a firearm inside the residence with the children and threatened suicide. Flagstaff Police Department’s Hostage Negotiations Team negotiated with the subject for approximately three hours before the children were released. The team then negotiated for an additional nine hours before he turned himself over to police custody unharmed and without incident.
The suspect was taken to Flagstaff Police Department for further interviews. He was later booked into Coconino County Jail for two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of a continuous sexual episode. To protect the privacy of the victim the names of all involved persons have been withheld.
