UPDATE: Monday morning, Flagstaff police filed reports of at least 5 vehicle thefts. In every report, the victims stated their cars were running with doors unlocked in order to “warm up.” The thefts were spread out throughout the city, and not in one particular area. At least five vehicles were stolen Monday morning in Flagstaff. Flagstaff Police say in all of the cases, they were left running to warm-up and unlocked while the driver went back into the home. Police have arrested at least one person, but believe many more are involved.

Per Flagstaff Police Department: “As of this time the Flagstaff Police Department has received 5 reports of stolen vehicles. It appears as if there are multiple people stealing unlocked cars as they are being warmed up. Police are asking people to lock their vehicles to protect their valuable property.”
