Weapons Violation at the Flagstaff Mall

December 1st, 2018 at 4:32 PM

At approximately 4:15 pm, Flag PD responded to the Flagstaff Mall for reports of a man with a gun. Upon arrival, an officer spotted the subject outside of the mall. The subject then ran back inside the mall and after a brief foot pursuit, the officer was able to tackle him near the children’s play area and take him into custody without further incident.

  1. ”My masculinity depends on constantly carrying around a lethal weapon, but I swear I’m totally the most manly man there is and I have zero insecurities with my manhood. Oh, and I’m totally gonna be that good-guy-with-a-gun-hero our 2nd Amendment needs, but I just need to break a bunch of laws to do it. MERICA! FREEDOM!”

  2. Tim Carter this thread proved that you have had more than ample notification and chose to feign ignorance for your own purposes. That is clearly your choice. I have been made fun of before for feeling the need to follow the rules and obey laws. That’s what you get when you were raised by a police officer. Oh well. You do you.

  3. Keith Potter you keep making assumptions about people that you don’t know. You’re only making yourself look foolish.

You keep doing what you feel you need to do. I was under the impression that in order to be a “good guy with a gun” you had to actually be a good guy. You have proven that theory wrong.

  4. Owen, it’s never a fear;)

And btw, you hate Christian’s for voting for whom has been elected, who should we have voted for that would have changed your view? Please don’t dare say Hillary because clearly we were picking the lesser of two evils and I’m sure you would agree with that.

  5. Alot more to this story was not near the play area and wasn’t tackled watched it go down and was right there yes he had a gun tucked in his waistband and what occurred in the parking lot isn’t mentioned sadly play stupid games and FPD will take you down job well done would love to see the video from the body camera.

  6. I don’t care if it’s illegal or not its worth the risk of getting caught having a concealed vs needing the gun and not having it because of a damn sign on the doors. Nope I won’t be that person sorry

  7. Amanda Lugo ARS 4-229 (C)(1) provides for a defense if the person was not informed prior. Arguements have successfully been made that one sign at one end of a large bank of doors (in the case of the mall….at least 4 doors), is not sufficient notice (i.e. sign on the far left and you enter the door on the far right). Also, Sears didnt have signage. If you entered through their store, then into the mall, you were not notified.

  8. There’s literally signs on every door way at the mall. They are not huge but they’re there. You should look a little harder if that’s how you feel about it.
