3:00 PM UPDATE:
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., May 8, 2018, For Immediate Release – Elden Tower lookout reported seeing smoke at approximately 1:30 p.m. today just west of Flagstaff and resources responded to the Facility Fire located near A-1 Mountain 2 to 3 miles west of Flagstaff. Cause is unknown at this time and under investigation.

Flagstaff Fire, Ponderosa Fire, Summit Fire, Forest Service and Camp Navajo have all dispatched units to a several acre wildland fire near A-1 mountain just outside of Flagstaff. At this time we do not have any word on containment, exact size or cause of the fire.
