Update to Winslow Police Shooting

UPDATE: Winslow Police have identified the woman as 27 year old Loreal Tsingine of Winslow. Officers were attempting to question Tsingine regarding a series of convenience store robberies when she came at them with a pair of scissors. She was shot 5 times. The Officers have been placed on paid administrative leave, which is routine for all Officer involved shootings.

Public Information Officials with the Winslow Police Department have confirmed reports of an Officer involved shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon around 4 P.M. According to the report, Officers were called to the residence regarding a disturbance. When they arrived, they were confronted by a 27 year old woman who had a weapon. Officers allege that the woman attempted to harm them with the weapon despite numerous commands to drop it. The woman was subsequently shot by Officers and pronounced dead on the scene by medics. The investigation is being handled by Arizona State Troopers (DPS).
