At 2:28 PM Thursday afternoon, Coconino National Forest Service Law Enforcement, Flagstaff Area Wildland Fire Response Trucks, and Summit Fire & Medical Battalion Chief 30 were dispatched to a report of a Wildland Fire in the area of E Route 66 and Rain Valley.

Most units have cleared the scene and returned to normal service.
Some units are being released from the fire and going back in service. Still no size update from ground crews. No structures threatened at this time.
Incident Command is requesting a water tender truck to the scene. Still no update on the size of the fire.

This incident has been upgraded to a priority alert due to nearby structures.
Caller advised that the fire appears to be moving quickly and is on the side of the road. This is just south of Picture Canyon Monument.
