At approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday, Flagstaff police officers attempted to contact a 24-year-old man with an outstanding felony warrant who was also wanted for questioning in an alleged assault on a minor at an apartment on Mall Way. The suspect fled on foot, wearing a black hoodie and beige pants.
A K-9 unit from the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office was requested, and a Department of Public Safety Ranger helicopter was flown in from Kingman to assist in the search.
Flagstaff police did not indicate whether the suspect was located. This story will be updated as additional information becomes available.
