FLAGSTAFF, Ariz – This fall, public hearings for two long-range planning documents will take place: the City of Flagstaff will hold public hearings on adopting the Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045, and Coconino County will hold public hearings on adopting the Coconino County Comprehensive Plan.
The Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 is a comprehensive update of the City’s General Plan, which sets high-level guidance for policy decisions over the next decade and is especially relevant for future land-use decisions. The Regional Plan is available online at www.flagstaff.az.gov/RegionalPlan2045. The hearings will be held according to the following schedule.

The Coconino County Comprehensive Plan Envision 2045 is an update to the 2015 County Comprehensive Plan. It is a long-range policy document that sets out a twenty-year vision, based on public input that guides the county’s future physical, economic, and social development. The public hearing draft of Envision 2045 will be available Sept. 2 online at https://coconinocounty.konveio.com/envision2045. The hearings will be held according to the following schedule.

Board of Supervisors Public Hearing
Tuesday, Nov. 18, starting at 6 p.m.

Though there are overlapping hearings on September 24, there are multiple opportunities to participate in each process. All five of the hearings can be attended virtually and will be recorded and posted online. Public comments can be made during each hearing or submitted in advance to RegionalPlan45Comments@flagstaffaz.gov (Regional Plan comments), or for Comprehensive Plan comments to mshaw@coconino.az.gov.
Following the Comprehensive Plan hearings, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors will schedule hearings to adopt the Regional Plan as an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.
