In response to the shutdown, Coconino County and the City of Flagstaff have both launched food drives to help local families during the holiday season.
County Food Drive (Now through Nov. 7)
Residents can donate shelf-stable food and grocery gift cards at the following county sites:

Coconino County Health and Human Services, 467 Vista Ave., Page (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
Recommended donation items include:

Canned/jarred sauces and meats, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, dried pasta/rice/grains, boxed meals, peanut butter, cereal, and grocery gift cards
City of Flagstaff Food Drive (Now through Dec. 31)
The City of Flagstaff is hosting its own community-wide food drive at city facilities to provide food and essential items to those in need this holiday season.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

Shelf-stable food: canned tuna/chicken, trail mix, crackers, beef sticks, fruit cups, protein bars, peanut butter, pasta, and other canned goods

Baby supplies: formula, wipes, diapers

Personal hygiene items: toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, soap

Cold weather accessories: socks, hats, gloves
All items collected by the City will be transferred to the Flagstaff Family Food Center for community distribution.
Stuff the Bus Event – Nov. 8–9
The Flagstaff Family Food Center, in partnership with the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County, and Mountain Line, will host its annual Stuff the Bus food drive on Nov. 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to donate turkeys and other holiday food items to help local families celebrate the upcoming season.
As federal aid programs remain suspended, community leaders urge residents to step forward and support one another. Every can, every meal, and every act of kindness helps ensure no one in Coconino County faces hunger alone this holiday season.
