FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Winter parking restrictions across Coconino County are set to end for the 2025/2026 season on Wednesday, April 1.
The seasonal restrictions, enforced under Ordinance 2022-06, have been in place since November 1 and prohibit vehicles, trailers, storage containers, and other obstructions from being parked within County-maintained rights-of-way at all times.
According to Coconino County officials, the ordinance is implemented each winter to ensure safer and more efficient snow removal operations, while also helping reduce hazardous traffic congestion and parking issues associated with snow play activities.
Although the restrictions are being lifted, residents who live along County-maintained roadways are still encouraged to keep rights-of-way clear whenever possible. Officials say doing so helps maintain public safety, allows for ongoing road maintenance, and ensures crews can respond effectively in the event of late-season snow or ice.
Winter parking restrictions will return for the 2026/2027 season on November 1, 2026.
