Large Police Presence/Situation on Toboggan Ct in Flagstaff Taking Place

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A significant law enforcement presence has been established in a Flagstaff neighborhood Wednesday morning following reports of an armed, suicidal individual.

At approximately 8:20 a.m., Flagstaff 911 received a call from a concerned neighbor reporting a man with a gun at a nearby residence who was believed to be suicidal. One caller told dispatchers the man had initially pointed a firearm at them before retreating back inside the home.

Responding officers, who are familiar with the individual from prior interactions, quickly set up a perimeter around the residence and requested additional resources.

A tactical team is now on scene, and an incident command has been established as negotiators work toward a peaceful resolution.

Residents in the immediate area are advised to stay indoors, keep doors locked, and remain away from windows. The public is also urged to avoid the area to allow emergency personnel to safely manage the situation.

This is an active and developing incident. Updates will be provided in real time, though information may be limited until the situation is resolved to protect officer safety and scene integrity.

UPDATE 11:21 AM A Flagstaff Officer has just told EMS that they can return to their station and stand down. The situation appears to be resolved. We are awaiting for an official update from police.
