FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Flagstaff Police have released the identity of the man found deceased Saturday morning in a parking lot near Flagstaff City Hall.
According to the Flagstaff Police Department, officers responded at approximately 6:17 a.m. Saturday, August 15, to a report of a person not breathing in a parking lot in the 200 block of W. Aspen Avenue.
When officers arrived, they located 21-year-old Jimmy Wu of Goodyear. Wu was pronounced deceased at the scene after suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Police said their preliminary investigation indicates Wu’s injuries were self-inflicted.
The incident prompted investigators to cordon off a portion of the area Saturday morning and resulted in a delay to the Mother Road Car Show taking place nearby.
The investigation remains ongoing.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Investigators are on scene Saturday morning after a man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the parking lot at Flagstaff City Hall.
At approximately 6:18 a.m. Saturday, emergency personnel were called to the City Hall parking lot near the Community Market after a man was found lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound to the head.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Crime scene tape has been placed around the area while investigators process the scene and work to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
The investigation and resulting closure of the area have also delayed the Mother Road Car Show, which was scheduled to take place nearby Saturday morning.
No information has been released regarding whether investigators are searching for a suspect or if this was a self-inflicted injury.
