Alert details
At 315 PM MST /415 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

Tappan Spring, Little Colorado River Navajo Tribal Park and
Cameron.
This includes State Route 64 between mile markers 275 and 295.
This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds…
Willows Camp.
This includes the following swimming holes…
Tappan Spring.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers…
Burro Canyon Wash, Tappan Wash, Cedar Wash, Little Colorado River,
Lee Canyon, Deer Tank Wash, Campbell Francis Wash, Moenkopi Wash,
Lava Wash and Needmore Wash.
Safety information
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.
