FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A severe storm has left 2,781 Arizona Public Service (APS) customers without electricity in northeast Flagstaff Monday afternoon.
According to APS, the outage began at approximately 12:56 p.m. after severe weather damaged electrical equipment in the area.
The outage is impacting customers within the approximate boundaries of:
- Soliere Avenue to Rio de Flag Drive
- Forest Run Drive to Elk Run Street
APS crews are currently on scene working to safely repair the damaged equipment and restore service as quickly as possible.
The utility’s current estimated restoration time is 4:30 p.m. Monday, though restoration times may change depending on the extent of the damage and weather conditions.
Residents in the affected area are encouraged to:
- Stay clear of any downed power lines and assume they are energized.
- Report any hazardous electrical conditions to APS immediately.
- Use generators safely outdoors and away from windows or doors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
