FLAGSTAFF, ARIZ. – On 03/09/2025 Officers with the Flagstaff Police Department responded to an eastside address to check the welfare of a thirteen-year-old juvenile. During this contact it was determined that the child was a victim of sex offenses with an adult male suspect.
FPD Detectives became involved in the case and determined the adult male suspect took steps to conceal his true identity from the juvenile victim. In the following days detectives were able to positively identify the suspect through social media posts and cell phone exploitation.
The suspect, Jose Zepeda, 31, of Flagstaff, was arrested on 03/12/2025 in a local hotel parking lot. Initial charges include four counts of Sex Conduct with a Minor.
In addition, Zepeda was charged with Aggravated Assault and Endangerment in an unrelated case.
