2:00 PM Flagstaff Police and Fire are responding to 1175 W Route 66 for a reported fire on the roof of the Double Tree hotel and possibly spreading to two rooms. The caller said the fire is coming from an AC unit on the roof. Evacuations are NOT in progress due to fire alarms not working, according to the caller. Updates will be posted in real time below.
UPDATE 2:03 PM Flagstaff Police are on the scene saying it appears the fire has been put out.
UPDATE 2:04 PM Flagstaff Fire Department Battalion 1 is on the scene, saying no smoke or flames seen, assuming Double Tree Incident Command. Engines 2 and 3 are now also on the scene, making access to the roof.
UPDATE 2:09 PM Crews saying the fire is out on the AC unit, but will continue to investigate. The remaining engine companies can go back in service.
