1:08 PM A new fire is being reported near the intersection of Forest Service Rd 144 and E Spring Valley Rd. The fire started from a malfunctioning well pump at a residence. Callers saying the fire is spreading to the trees. CCSO is on the scene and actively evacuating everyone within a two mile radius. Several fire agencies are now responding. Updates will be below.
UPDATE 1:36 PM: PARKS, Ariz. — The Coconino County Department of Emergency Management has issued a GO (Evacuate Now) order for the Pumpkin Center 141 Zone, located north of Parks, due to a wildfire burning in the area of Spring Valley Road.
Residents within the Pumpkin Center 141 Zone should leave immediately. Do not delay to gather belongings if it is unsafe to do so. Follow instructions from emergency personnel and use designated evacuation routes.
The evacuation order was also sent to residents through a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA).

UPDATE 2:19 PM: The fire is estimated to be 3 acres at this time and is being called the Spring Fire
UPDATE 3:52 PM new size is 20 acres. Residents in the Kendrick Mountain Area have now been added to the evacuation order list
UPDATE 6:46 PM Updated size of the fire is 112 acres.
