At roughly 11 PM CCSO Deputies and State Troopers were called to a residence in the 2100 block of Hano Trail in Kachina Village referencing an assault with a gun taking place. The caller on 911 stated someone had assaulted him and he had to defend himself. The caller then told dispatchers that at least one person was dead. When Deputies arrived, they immediately detained one person and placed them into the cage of a patrol car. Nearby, Deputies located a deceased individual who had been shot. A crime scene has been established and detectives are responding. This is a very active scene as of this posting, but we can confirm that Deputies are not looking for anyone at this time. Hano Trail is closed. We’ll hopefully have more information in the morning.
