FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Two adult men were killed Wednesday evening after being struck by a train on the east side of Flagstaff, according to the Flagstaff Police Department.
Police say officers and emergency medical personnel responded at approximately 7:09 p.m. on December 24, 2025, to reports of a train–pedestrian collision near the intersection of East Nestlé Purina Avenue and East Industrial Drive. Upon arrival, officers determined that two adult males had been struck by an eastbound train. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the two men were attempting to cross the railroad tracks northbound near the entrance area between Flagstaff Mall and Goodwill. A third individual who was with them told officers that one of the men fell onto the tracks, and the second man attempted to help him up as the train approached.
The train was traveling eastbound at the time of the collision. The incident remains under investigation as Flagstaff police coordinate with railroad officials. Next-of-kin notifications are still pending, and no additional information has been released.
The Flagstaff Police Department is reminding the public that railroad tracks are private property and extremely dangerous. Trains are unable to stop quickly, and pedestrians are urged to use designated crossings only and avoid railroad right-of-way areas at all times.
