4;45 PM Ponderosa FD, Camp Navajo FD, and CCSO are responding to a home on Peaks View Dr in Parks for a caller saying the field behind his home is on fire. The fire is small at this time. Update: This is s a 1 acre grass fire with moderate rate of spread. Attack water line being setup now.
UPDATE 5:08 PM: Peak incident command has been established. Fire crews working to keep the homes safe from the fire.
Update 5:15 PM: Forward spread of the fire has been stopped. Crews are now in Mop up stage. Fire is mostly out.
