The National Weather Service (NWS) has predicted monsoon activity, including thunderstorms and heavy rain, throughout Northern Arizona over the next several days. Residents are urged to sign up for emergency alerts, keep their mitigations, such as sandbags, in place and follow directions from the NWS or City/County Emergency Management if an alert is issued. Remember that the flood risk in your neighborhood remains elevated and rain over a burn scar can quickly cause flash flooding downstream.
