At 6:32 AM this morning Flagstaff Police and EMS were called to the AmTrak station for a person not breathing. A person called 911 saying they were approached by a pair of transients who informed him that their friend was dead. The pair then walked off. When Officers and EMS arrived they were initially unable to locate a victim at the station. A short time later, Officers were able to locate the victim at Verde and Route 66 next to the BNSF Police station. He was declared deceased on the scene and additional units were called. Officers were also able to locate the pair of transients from the AmTrak station and question them. We have no further information but will post any updates if we get them.
