4:55 pm Coconino County sheriff’s deputies were called to a domestic violence incident near the intersection of sunshine and lumberjack. Several callers also reported a shirtless Hispanic male yelling and out of control in the area. When the Deputy tried making contact with the male suspect, he began fighting with the Deputy and struck him several times. The man is now in custody and the officer has said he is okay. Medics have been called to the scene to check on injuries on the suspect’s face.
