7:24 pm Flagstaff Fire Department is responding to 11 S Beaver St at the Beaver Street Brewery for a report of smoke inside the building. No flames. Evacuation in progress. UPDATE: Engine 2 is on the scene. Light smoke is coming from the building. UPDATE 2: Crews are finding smoke coming from the attic area, possibly originating from an adjacent apartment. UPDATE 3: Police are saying that when they arrived, a citizen was on the roof extinguishing a fire. Crews are now seeing flames on the roof area. UPDATE 4: This has been upgraded to a first alarm. Heavy smoke and minimal flames are now being seen near the roof. UPDATE: Several businesses and apartments are involved. Beaver st is closed at Phoenix Ave. FINAL EVENING UPDATE: Fire is out. Red cross is being called to assist with residential tenants in the building. Fire crews will check on the building throughout the night to ensure the fire is out.
