Other areas included are the Black Mesa area, Chinle Valley, Chuska Mountains and Defiance Plateau, Northeast Plateaus and Mesas near Highway 264. Farther south in the watch area…Oak Creek and Sycamore Canyons and Western Mogollon Rim. This watch includes Navajo Nation and Hopi Tribal Lands. * WHEN…From 1 PM MST /2 PM MDT/ this afternoon through 11 PM MST /Midnight MDT/. * IMPACTS…Flash flooding will be possible in creeks, normally dry washes, swimming holes and over recently burned areas. Low-water crossings could also experience flash flooding, which would create deadly travel conditions.
