FUSD Delayed Start Tomorrow

Two-Hour Delayed Start Tomorrow, January 8, 2024

Due to the current winter weather conditions, all Flagstaff Unified School District schools have a two-hour delayed start tomorrow, Monday, January 8, 2024.  The delayed start means all schools will begin two hours after their normal start time and release according to the regular full-day dismissal time.

Puente de Hózhó Elementary 9:50 a.m.
Sechrist Elementary 11:00 a.m.

Mount Elden Middle School 9:50 a.m.
Sinagua Middle School 9:50 a.m.
Coconino High School 10:00 a.m.
Flagstaff High School 10:00 a.m.
Summit High School 9:40 a.m.

Morning buses will run two hours later than normal tomorrow.  Parents and guardians in Kachina Village, Munds Park, and Mountainaire should bring their children to the alternate winter weather bus stop.

High School, Middle School, and Puente de Hózhó

  • Munds Park: Munds Park Post Office at 8:21 a.m.
  • Mountainaire: Mountainaire Country Store at 8:35 a.m.
  • Kachina Village: Kachina Village bus loop off Tovar Trail at 9:00 a.m.

Kinsey Elementary School

  • Munds Park: Munds Park Post Office at 9:54 a.m. 
  • Mountainaire: Mountainaire Country Store at 10:09 a.m.

DeMiguel Elementary School

  • Kachina Village: Kachina Village bus loop off Tovar Trail at 10:24 a.m.

Afternoon dismissal time and school bus runs will be the same as a regular day.

Breakfasts will still be available for students tomorrow at the delayed start time. If breakfast is typically served in the cafeteria at your student’s school, breakfast will be available in the cafeteria as normal. If your student’s school does not serve breakfast in the cafeteria (i.e., breakfast is served in the classroom), we ask that students go to the cafeteria to receive breakfast tomorrow morning. Meals are not delivered to classrooms on two-hour delay days.

The FACTS before-school program will open at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning and operate until the start of school. Only FUSD students already scheduled to attend morning FACTS will be permitted.
