Highway 89 Lane Closures Scheduled Sept. 9–10 in Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Drivers traveling on Highway 89 in Flagstaff should expect delays next week as crews complete paving work between Country Club Drive and Cummings Street.

The City of Flagstaff says its contractor, C & E Paving & Grading, will be repaving transitions from asphalt to concrete along Highway 89 in both directions on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and Thursday, Sept. 10.

The work is part of the city’s Road Repair and Street Safety Project.

Crews will periodically close both single and double lanes while the work is underway. Northbound and southbound traffic will remain open throughout the project, but motorists should allow extra travel time and be prepared for delays in the area.

The City of Flagstaff says the work is part of its ongoing effort to repair and improve local streets.

Additional information about the Road Repair and Street Safety Project is available through the City of Flagstaff Public Works Division at 928-213-2100.

Flagscanner will provide updates if the construction schedule or traffic impacts change.
