Large fuel spill in Flagstaff early Sunday morning

Crews from the Flagstaff Fire Department responded to the Circle K store at Empire and Smokerise at around 1:30 am this morning for a large fuel spill. The spill was the result of a gas tanker that was incorrectly disconnected. Crews took air quality and hazmat readings and cleaned up most of the trouble spots. They remained on the scene for roughly 3 hours. The smell of fuel was prevalent in the neighborhood for several hours but did not pose any immediate threat. No further information is available at this time.
