New wildland fire reported in Flagstaff #SageFire



At 10:29 AM several US Forest Service units, Highlands fire units, and Flagstaff fire units are responding to a report of a smoke column developing in the area of Purple Sage Trail and Beulah Boulevard. UPDATE 11:05 AM: Crews have water on the fire and are making great progress. Size of the fire is just above half an acre. Human caused.

FINAL UPDATE 11:59 AM: Fire has been contained.

UPDATE 10:44 AM: Burning in timber understory with moderate spread. A dozer is working a line around the fire and water will soon be applied.

UPDATE 10:42 AM: Fire crews are asking for Police to respond as they believe they have the individual who may have started the fire on the scene.

UPDATE 10:38 AM: The fire is estimated to be about an acre in size at this time. Being called the Sage Fire.
