PRESS RELEASE on early morning fire at Waste Management

Early this morning, the FFD dispatched two engines, a rescue, and a battalion chief to the report of a rubbish fire at the Waste Management facility on Flagstaff Ranch Road. First arriving crews found 50-foot flame lengths in the debris piles. Ultimately, Waste Management personnel came into the facility and utilized heavy equipment to spread and churn the burning material while FFD crews extinguished the blaze using deck guns and hand lines. Crews remained on the scene for approximately 4 hours. It’s an honor to serve.
