12:57 PM: Flagstaff Police are asking ONLY residents in the 900 block of W Summit Ave in Flagstaff to lock all doors, windows, and access points. Officers are out with an adult male who is having a mental crisis and threatening officers and himself. A large police presence is in the area. Please avoid the area at this time. Stay with Flagscanner for up-to-the-minute updates.
1:17 PM: The male has been detained and is in police custody. Shelter in place has been lifted.
