FLAGSTAFF, Ariz – The City of Flagstaff and their contractor, Eagle Mountain Construction, along with the Arizona Department of Transportation, have finished installing the large concrete structures for the new Milton Road pedestrian underpass, as part of the Beulah University Realignment Project. As weather permits, work will continue through the winter months on the east and west sides of the pedestrian underpass as crews continue to construct the access ramps and appurtenances.

On Friday, Nov. 8, the existing traffic control along Milton Road will be removed and north and southbound lanes will be re-opened until spring 2025. Additionally, eastbound access onto University Drive via Milton Road will be re-opened. Please keep in mind that traffic control along Milton Road, University Avenue and University Drive will return in spring 2025 so crews can perform asphalt paving and concrete installation operations to finish out the remainder of the project.

Access to the new Beulah Boulevard extension and roundabout that accesses University Avenue, Yale Street and Beulah Boulevard will open by the end of the year. A follow-up release will be published prior to the opening of these new roadways.

The City and their contractors appreciate your understanding and patience as we work hard to finish this project. For additional project information, please visit www.beulahuniversityproject.com.
